Tamara pulling bittersweet on the most beautiful spring day.
Don’t know how I’d survive winter without seeds. I remember the day I split this black-eyed susan head and set it aside to photograph. That was ages ago.
Today I was looking for something, anything, to photograph. Outside the wind was a-blowin’, the temperature was a-droppin’ and I caught sight of this sweet reminder of spring. I’d like to reshoot the photo with the bottom half of the seed head (the part on the right) in focus. However, the seeds pictured here are now sitting in a bucket, mingling with other seeds, waiting to be packaged up, bought and sown somewhere, to wake up and find their way through the soil to put big yellow petals and dark brown centers on their fuzzy green stems.
Not too long til spring now.
